Frequently Asked Questions

How old does my child have to be to be enrolled in Level 1?

Your child has to be 3 years old to participate in Level 1. They need to have turned 3 by June 1, 2025.

What should I do for my child who is between the ages of 6 months – 3 years old?

Our Parent and Me class is perfect for this age. This class is NOT infant swim rescue. It is a water adjustment class built around play, songs, and fun! View our highlight video to see some of the key skills they will learn!

How do I know which level to sign my child up for?

Take our quiz here to find out which level is right for your child. You can also view video highlights of each level!

How many weeks of lessons should my child take?

We recommend that children take 2 weeks of Level 1 one summer and then take 2 weeks of Level 2 the following summer. For Levels 3-5, Junior Lifesaving and Parent & Me, 1 week per summer typically suffices.

How does the waiting list work?

If we are able to offer you a spot, we will send an email + send a text to the phone number provided at registration. If you do not receive communication from us, a spot did not open and we were unable to pull from the waiting list. Our waiting lists are free.

Do you offer private lessons?

We do not offer private lessons at this time.

Do you offer adult lessons?

We do not offer adult lessons at this time.

Do parents stay during group lessons?

No, parents do not stay during lessons. Children are dropped off and picked up in the carpool line. On the last day of lessons, we take videos of the taught skills. Video links and practice tips are emailed to you over the weekend. The only class where parents stay is the Parent & Me class, which is geared for ages 6 months- 3 years.

What do I do if it rains?

Please do not assume that lessons are canceled because it is raining at your house. It may not be raining here! If lessons are canceled, we will send a text message through Captyn to the phone number provided at registration. Canceled lessons are made up the following Saturday at the same class time.
